“When I was being labeled
“When I was being labeled as Punjab Kings’ ‘mistaken pick’, I was not even on social media; I had no idea about the trolling. My sister was way more affected by the trolling than I was. I didn’t let it affect me, because I know this is a profession where the audiences’ reactions will be extreme—the love I receive will be immense and so will the trolling. So I need to learn to manage my emotions and so far, I’ve been doing it pretty well.”
Coined as a ‘find of the season’ by Sam Curran, cricketer Shashank Singh is one of those rare cricketers whose one big dream was not cricket—believe it or not! Coming from a family of an IPS father and a mother who has a doctorate in History, Shashank played cricket but never dreamt of playing for the nation—that was his father’s dream for him!
