Speaker 1:          Today on our 2004 Infiniti FX35, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Tekonsha ZCI circuit protected vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector and insulation kit, part number 119250KIT.Now, this is what our four pole looks like when it's installed. When it's not in use, you can stow it away in a side pocket over here in the side of the vehicle. And when you're ready to use it, you just drop it out the back. You want to make sure you go over top the rubber seal here. Stay away from your locking mechanism from your door, and go ahead. Close it into place. We've got more than enough wire here to connect to our trailer.

This wiring harness, how they hang out the back here, are specifically designed to be able to use hanging out of your tailgate here, so it's not going to harm it as long as you stay away from the center. This is what we're going to get with our wiring harness. We're going to get you all the necessary items you need for your installation. What's good about this wiring kit here is on the Infinitis, per the manufacturer, you cannot splice in any wires. This is going to replace that. What this is going to do ...

once you find out which wire you need, you're going to lay the wire in there. You're going to put that over the top, and it's going to detect a current running through that wire. Now, this is going to give you the four flat trailer connector for all your proper lighting functions. Now, let's show you how to get this installed. So to begin our installation, we're going to have to get back inside the panel here to get ahold of the connection for the brake light. First thing we've got to do is we're going to pop this little cap right here in the center out of this tie-down.

What we're trying to do is we're going to get to that bolt there. You need to remove that bolt. We're going to be using a 10 millimeter socket. And we're going to take this one off. I'm taking a small, flat head screwdriver.

Pop that cap off. Same 10 millimeter socket. And the next one we're going to do, we're going to do this one up here. The same 10 millimeter socket.Next, we're going to go ahead and get lift this up, get it out of the way. And we're going to remove our kick panel here, or our sill plate. I'm going to take this, set it out of the way. It just unclips, so you're just going to pull up on it until it pops off. Then, we're going to want to remove that, and then, we're just going to slowly start pulling our panel out. I'm going to use a trim panel tool just to get behind this piece here. So what we're trying to get access to is this plug right here that's running to our tail light. I'm gonna push in and unplug it.As you can see, this plug wire runs back to here. I'm just trying to give myself a little bit more of this, so I might have to trim this back, because that's what we're going to put our wiring harness onto. So I'm just going to cut the zip tie that's right here. Once you've got this all pulled back and you freed up some wire, we're going to repeat the same process on the other side. Now, we've gone ahead and plugged our connections back together. You're not going to get a reading off of your wires unless they are connected. And we'll do the left turn, the brake light. Now, running lights or tail lights, and we can see our tail light is going to be your red wire. And now, we know our blinker and our brake light is going to be our white wire. We're over here on the passenger's side. Now, we're going to test for our right turn signal. Right turn . see, our light's blinking. So now we know that our green wire is going to be our right turn.So what we've determined is that we're running a two wire system, so we're not going to be using our stop connection here. This one, we're just going to end up folding up, zip tying, and putting off to the side. But you want to make sure this arrow is facing toward the tail lights. So again, left turn is going on the white wire, and you want to make sure you don't have any other wires that get caught in the connection. You want a good, clear connection. I think we're pretty good there. All of our other wires are away from it.So now, we're going to hook up our tail light to a red wire. And you want to make sure your wire's running inside of this groove here, and then you're just going to push that
