In the third episode of our ethical hacking series, we guide you through a basic deauth attack in Kali Linux using an ALFA AWUS036ACH (Realtek RTL8812AU chipset) high powered WiFi USB adapter. Understand a deauth attack is an important thing for an ethical hacker or IT professional to know to be able to audit wireless networks for which they are responsible. We use a special driver from gitbub user morrownr that allows us to successfully carry out this procedure on both a 2.4 Ghz network as well as a 5 Ghz network (download at github.com/morrownr/8812au).
