* A collection of Mariah Carey's best studio vocal runs, riffs, melismatic phrases, ad libs & inflections. I went through most of Mariah's large discography of over 200 + song's and compiled her best into just over 10 minutes. She really is great in using these techniques; she has the ability to glide through many notes, up and down the scale and even do fantastic runs in the whistle register effortlessly and effectively. Mariah can turn one single word into a beautiful melodic riff or run and blow us away with her emotion, passion and ease while singing it. She never goes over the top with her riffs and runs either and they always seem to fit into the music perfectly. Her use of melisma has even inspired the likes of Beyonce and Christina Aguilera to experiment with their voice and try vocal runs and riffs while singing. She truly is amazing and one of the best users of melisma of our time!!
