Described as a unique political thriller, Made in China is probably the first Marathi film that speaks about Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and their political background with reference to Maharashtra and its long agricultural tradition.
MADE IN CHINA is about the sizzling issue of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) which is being implemented all over the country. Because of implementation of SEZs in China, many villagers were able to get employment and develop. But when this SEZ gets implemented into a small village in India, the exact opposite reaction of development starts taking place. The village politicians, zamindars are ready to have a say into the money given by the government. The poor villagers are neglected in the process. Who come to rescue them at this time.
