Brightening Mango Butter Skin DIY Cream
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons Grapeseed Oil https://amzn.to/3x5pIMJ
2 teaspoons Olive Oil https://amzn.to/49VLJfz
2 teaspoons Rosehip Oil https://amzn.to/4a56a9Y
6-8 drops Lemon Essential Oil https://bit.ly/3HWVMWH
1/4 cup Mango Butter https://amzn.to/3IO1MA3
Instructions:
Prepare Your Work Area: Ensure all your tools and containers are clean and dry before you begin.
Melt Mango Butter: In a double boiler or a heatproof bowl placed over a pot of simmering water, melt the mango butter until it becomes liquid. Alternatively, you can melt it in short bursts in the microwave, stirring frequently to avoid overheating.
Combine Oils: Once the mango butter is melted, add Grapeseed Oil, Olive Oil, and Rosehip Oil to the bowl. Mix well until all the oils are fully incorporated with the mango butter.
Add Lemon Essential Oil: Carefully add 6-8 drops of Lemon Essential Oil to the mixture. Lemon essential oil can be potent, so start with fewer drops and adjust according to your preference.
Mix Thoroughly: Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure the essential oil is evenly distributed throughout the blend.
Allow to Cool: Let the mixture cool for a few minutes. It should start to thicken slightly but still be pourable.
Transfer to Container: Once the mixture has cooled a bit and thickened, pour it into a clean, airtight container suitable for storage. A glass jar with a tight-fitting lid works well.
Storage: Store your brightening mango butter skin serum in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Properly stored, it should last for several months.
Usage:
Apply a small amount of the serum to clean, dry skin, focusing on areas where you desire lightening or brightening effects.
Massage the serum gently into your skin using upward, circular motions until it's fully absorbed.
For best results, use this serum regularly, preferably twice daily, in your skincare routine.
Note:
Perform a patch test before applying the serum to your face to ensure you don't have any adverse reactions to any of the ingredients, especially Lemon Essential Oil, which can be sensitizing to some individuals.
