In this video I attempt to increase my ASDL2+ broadband speeds by installing a BT Openreach SSFP filtered faceplate on my NTE5 master socket. These faceplates are normally supplied for Infinity / VDSL2 FTTC connections but I tried it out on my standard ADSL2+ line to compare it to the "standard issue" white box microfilters.

I already have a good line with excellent speeds (for standard broadband) if you compare to the BT dslchecker output figures, I am getting more bandwidth than it says I the line can receive.

After installing the faceplate will my speeds increase?
Is replacing your microfilter with a filtered faceplate better for broadband?
I aim to find out in this video, But please note however that all telephone lines differ vastly due to there length to the telephone exchange, cable age and quality, wiring inside and outside your property, even sometimes the weather can have an effect on your sync speeds. What works for me may not work in the same way for you.
