While more than half the 49th Rolex Fastnet Race fleet found themselves stuck in a windless zone at the Isles of Scilly towards the end of Wednesday, those that broke clear made good time to the finish in Cherbourg. As finishers arrived late into the night of the fourth day and on the morning of the fifth day, they were pushing hard to the last in an effort to post the best time on time correction. At the end of Thursday, the British yacht Sunrise held the top spot and faced a nervous wait for the rest of the fleet to finish. The Rolex Fastnet Race is organized by the Royal Ocean Racing Club and has been partnered by Rolex since 2001.
