Have you ever had a piece of cake? How many layers and ingredient does it have? If you break these ingredients you’ll see the cream on top followed by the other ingredient. In the same way, a number can be reduced into smaller parts. This breaking down of numbers is called as Factorization.
Factorization means to split or reduce an expression into its products or factors. When these products or factors are multiplied we get the original number. An algebraic expression can be factorized by taking out the common term or grouping the term.
