Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner: Chapter 1 [Dingo Egret] [PS2]

[UPDATE: 8-2-2012] I might as well make a note here: Yes, I know about the HD remake. I'll still attempt to complete this runthrough of the original PS2 title beforehand. I don't have a PS3 so for now, this will have to do.
The most awesome game I've ever played on my PS2, is about to be played again by me, after God knows how many years, and this time it's splendor will be revealed without black bars or black areas!
My PC is currently PMSing and have to RMA some hardware...so, that will take some serious time. So instead of presenting my usual genre of PC games, I am going to dwell on my good old PS2 for a while and bring you a CLASSIC, but not-so-well-known game: Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. I have not played this game in YEARS!
PLEASE NOTE: Since most games do not have a checkpoint or chapter title, I will come up with my own title instead. So in this case, I divided the game into chapters. So since this is the beginning of the game, this is chapter one. The rest of the videos will follow suit. Whenever there is a BOSS BATTLE, I will indicate it accordingly in the title.
**Please do keep in mind that all of my gameplay footage from now on will contain spoilers (if any)!**
Most Metal Gear Solid fans, as well as Anime and Mecha fans might find this game quite familiar as Hideo Kojima sneaked in this wonderful game series along with a Metal Gear Solid game demo back in the day...and I am talking about way back before the first Metal Gear Solid game was released.
This game is actually the sequel to the original game "Zone of the Enders", where Leo is the first runner of the Orbital Frame "Jehuty". If you need some background knowledge about this game, you know wikipedia is your best friend.
On to the plot:
Here we find ourselves meeting our protagonist, Dingo Egret, who is just doing his grinding job as a miner up in Callisto, a satellite or moon near the planet Jupiter. He decides to relieve some stress by goofing off a little and talking about a spectacular [soccer?] match from a previous season...however, he finds something odd. A well-known powerful mineral at the time, Metatron, was oddly detected too shallow to the surface of where Dingo was originally planning to land his mining vehicle (known as a LEV), and decides to investigate the matter, but what he actually finds is the Orbital Frame named "Jehuty". From there, the chaos begins...

As usual. I will try to bring you gameplay footage at its highest quality possible. Footage here has been encoded using Sony Vegas 9.0 rendered on 1280x720 at 29.970FPS, all at BEST settings using wmv 11 encoding. Video was captured using a Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick 800e and Debut Video Capture Software.
