Firewalld is the default firewall management service in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. One of its primary features it to separate the runtime or current configuration from the permanent configuration. Allowing operations to be tested before being made permanent. Often people write to the permanent store first and reload. We show why --runtime-to-permanent is a better option
