On this episode of Strange and Unusual Tales, we tell the history of The Masked Marauders and review their album. In October of 1969, Rolling Stone magazine published a review of an album that seemed to confirm the existence of a new rock supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison.

The only problem, the review was fake and meant to be read as satire, however that didn’t stop thousands of loyal readers to assume it was real and the offices of Rolling Stone magazine were flooded with inquiries about how to get this bootleg album. But if the review was a joke, who plays on this album and how did it come to be? #TheBeatles #BobDylan #MickJagger
