So you have taken your
So you have taken your D.E. filter apart to clean it and now you have all eight grids hosed off and you are wondering how the heck to put it all back together... if you haven't first watched my video on doing this the easy way, relax - here is the out of the filter or hard way of rebuilding it -

I was taught to do it upside down and it is a very effective method. It works better with two people when you get to the tilting part as sometimes it comes apart and you will need to start over.
It isn't that difficult but it is an engineering wonder. In the video I misplaced the Partial Grid (I actually put it where it goes building it reight side up) but corrected it in the video. It goes right where the opening is as it is a smaller area. The newer bottom manifolds will have grid markings but this filter has got to be at least 30 years old. I don't even know what brand it is - I assume it is a Titan Fiberglass filter...
