A video about weird twisty puzzle productions that confuse me to no end.

I'd like to mention here that I'm not actually angry at these and I'm mostly making all of these nitpicks because I enjoy it and I think it's funny and I thought it would make for a good video. In reality, many of these probably has good reasons behind them.

As a few examples, some of the pieceswaps may have been due to excess stock and a desire to get rid of it by quickly making new puzzles by just swapping the already-designed pieces around. It's more understandable if you look at it this way, but that doesn't change the fact that it results in some very strange puzzles that I felt like poking fun at.

The thing with the Skewby Multidodecahedron is also probably explained by the fact that deeper cut puzzles such as the pentultimate require shells (which are basically just layers of hidden puzzles with increasing cut depths) and it might have just been convenient to expose the megaminx shell for the master pentultimate version and to expose the pyraminx crystal shell for the pentultimate version. I'll mention that mf8, the company that produced it, also produced a "dreidel" version, which is similar, but it fixes the oddity I mentioned in the video by having some smaller middle layer pieces as well, so you can differentiate between the two halves.

Also, yes, I know this video has a few graphical glitches. DaVinci Resolve does that occasionally and this video sometimes has a lot of clips at once.

The puzzle simulator I used for a few sections is pCubes: https://twistypuzzles.com/forum/viewt...
