🎥 Why YouTubers ask for likes or thumbs up? What is so important about it?
I have heard it so many times, why do you ask for thumbs up and likes?
Is it desperation? No, it is not - Asking for thumbs up and likes is not an act of desperation.
Thumbs up, Likes, Comments and interactions are the factors that will help you grow your channel. :yt:
Without it - You are stalling.
Interactivity like a thumbs-up is one of the variables that will contribute to ranking a video higher in search results and in YouTube Recommendations.
It is like a wake-up call for YouTube algorithms. It tells YouTube that people find the video intriguing and that people are interacting with it.
YouTube promotes videos that have potential advertising value.
Thumbs up or thumbs down are both recognised as interactions.
Comments are on the same level and more people respond and interact with the video, the ranking of the video gets higher.
if you are creating product review videos with let's say you have 5000 subscribers and competing against someone who is making the same videos about the same products with 20000 subscribers
and you get 500-600 thumbs up in the first 24 hours and your competitor gets let's say 100,
more than likely your video will be recommended to the people that follow that topic rather than your competitors' video - because of the interaction.
More views = more thumbs up = gain coverage = gain subscribers
The most important thing in getting your videos ranked higher and gaining the exposure.
