In this video, I will show you how to make our traditional bastille soap recipe and we made it in a new mould and in a loaf.  It is similar to a Castile recipe such as in this video How to make Traditional Olive Oil - C... but this variation has a bubbly lather.

I had several common problems with this cold process batch, which will be great pointers to help you avoid them yourself.  I didn't pre-test the scent, I didn't check if the colour was suitable for high ph or heat-stable plus I overheated it in an oven - yikes.  It is a great way to show you some of the things that can happen when you don't research and check things before making :)

The new decorative mould I used was the Coccola SF305 by Silikomart which makes 6 bars https://www.amazon.co.uk/Silikomart-2...

You can opt to switch the fragrance to essential oils instead or simply leave it as a natural unscented version.
