Quiet a generator with an automotive muffler

Tested at 82 db before
Tested at 82 db before muffler was changed out. I was able to get it down to 80 db with a change to a automotive style muffler.

Note that adding the restrictive muffler actually changed the flow of air/fuel into the engine and I had to manually adjust the fuel/air ratio to compensate. This generator is old and has the ability to do this, any generator made in the last 20 years will need to be manually re-jetted.
Note: Virtually all of the sound you'll hear from your generator is coming from the engine block itself.
