His mother gives him the book "Zau," which his father wrote in his final years. The titular character of that book also lost his father, and makes a deal with the Death God Kalunga in order to revive his father. Kalunga tasks Zau with defeating three rogue Great Spirits, but if Zau fails, Kalunga will take his soul. Kalunga thinks it's a waste of time to gather the ingredients and that it would be better to stay by Sabulana's side to comfort her as she dies, but Zau insists that it's better to chase the hope of saving her. Zau also blames Kalunga for taking the souls of mortals, but not the Great Spirits, noting the double standard. The first Kifo Flower spot is wilted, and a new type of enemy, the Uwindaji, attacks. It specializes in speed and can gain i-frames from dashing just like Zau. After the battle, Zau states that he's not the only one who resents the God of Death and that Kalunga is too focused on the inevitable to notice what people go through in the present. You will eventually find Zawadi's Hook, which allows you to use the purple grappling points in the air to launch yourself. Obviously, your angle upon initiating the ability matters. Unfortunately, there's a lot of backtracking in this stage. Occasionaly, the speedster enemies will show up in locked-room battles. There is an echo that will require the next ability. 42:17 Wildwood Even here, there are Uwindaji fights. 43:05 Wildwood Spirit Ritual - Ithwasa Fortunately, you're allowed to do these trials before the next boss. 46:14 Wildwood I actually failed to record a forced encounter with the Uwindaji, but it doesn't really matter since all their fights play out the same. 46:49 Wildwood Spirit Ritual - Nganga 49:24 Wildwood Spirit Ritual - Gobela 54:00 Delivering the Ingredients When you hand in the ingredients, Sabulana turns evil and guilt-trips Zau over his father's death. 57:12 Kikiyaon's Nightmare World Turns out Sabulana was the Nature Spirit, Kikiyaon, all along. Kikiyaon is in the background, but can create a moving wall of instant death miasma to chase you. After the initial chase, you can find Tawa's Heart, which allows you to assemble and disassemble constructs. You'll then have to go through another chase sequence before finding the room containing Kikiyaon's heart. 1:05:28 Boss: Kikiyaon You have to expose the heart by using Tawa's Heart. Afterwards, the Sun Mask strong attack is good for damaging it, since it's stationary and slightly above the ground. However, the heart will change locations if you do enough damage or take too long. The boss won't attack directly, but will generate miasma in the direction away from the heart's current location and will summon a lot of standard mobs. 1:07:15 Wildwood Zau is discouraged, but Kalunga tells him that the world is still full of good and admits that Zau has a point about pursuing hope.
