How To Measure Formal Poetry (The Basics)

This is my beginners guide to measuring, recognizing, and labeling the metric feet and meter of formal poetry.  Keep in mind that this is a very basic guide in measuring poetry, and any technicalities involving meter will most likely not be included.  This is simply to give a base understanding of what syllables, metric feet, and meter are, and the proper names for the different types of poetic meter.
