Boosting environmental sustainability with climate-smart agroforestry practices

Indonesia is one of the biggest coffee and cocoa producers in the world. Millions of Indonesian farmers depend on these commodities for their livelihoods. In recent years, the effects of climate change have decreased the productivity of coffee and cocoa plantations. LASCARCOCO, a partnership between USAID, Olam Food Ingredients, Rikolto, Hershey, and the Government of Indonesia, is working with smallholder farmers to implement climate-smart agroforestry practices that improve yields while boosting environmental sustainability.
