Note: when i have calculated the direction of magnetic field i only considered the center part of this structure and said that direction of magnetic field is upward in the plane between the two wires (time around 3:35). Obviously here upward means perpendicular to the surface that passes between the wires. In the center it happens to be upward. On the other parts it will have different direction.

I have made this setup to demonstrate the force between two current carrying conductors. My supervisor gave me these batteries and told me check if we can do something with them (for an application that he had in mind). For the moment I had some fun with them. The main part of the setup is a push button switch that I made. It can switch a few 100 amps without getting its contact melt together due to high contact resistance. The rest was just using thick wires to connect things together.
The coming week will be supper busy.
