It's just rained, and C008 is seen here at the Melbourne University superstop just before 19:00 on Friday 23 March 2007, about to run a Route 16 service to Malvern Depot.
It is followed by D1.3521 (3 module Combino) on another Route 16 service, this one running the full length to Kew.
C008 is one of 24 Combino Plus (Combino Supra) trams that have been ordered for use on the tram network in Lisbon, Portugal. It is currently being demonstrated in Melbourne by the manufacturer, Siemens, for approximately 3 months.
The State Government/Yarra Trams are shortly going to order new trams for the network, and this is just one possible model that could be purchased.
