The Thunderbirds are seen here taking the stage over the Stewart International Airport on Saturday for what would be a high show performance. I was actually shocked that the Thunderbirds would fly a high show on Saturday considering that we had blue skies approaching but some key areas of the aerobatic box were not under high show standards for the team.
Midway through the performance, the team knocked off the demo as Thunderbird #4 experienced a severe issue with the jet which necessated an immediate landing. You'll then see Thunderbird #1 fly off the wing of #4 to make sure he landed safely, and the team resumed the demo while #4 jumped into a spare jet and rejoined for part of the delta sequence.
Please also note any music in the video was played through a public address system and ZINGER AVIATION MEDIA does not have any control over what is played during an airshow.
