Klean Kanteen - How to Service Your Sport Cap

Learn how to clean and replace the silicone gasket and valve to keep your Klean Kanteen sport cap 3.0 fresh and clean. #BringYourOwn

If your water bottle is smelly and you have already cleaned your bottle following this video, http://bit.ly/1U9L5Cb, then the silicone gasket and valve probably needs to be cleaned or replaced

To remove, clean and replace your gasket:
1. If you want to replace your gasket get a gasket maintenance kit here: http://bit.ly/25YCeWf
2. Gently pry out the old gasket using a non-sharp object like a pen
3. Pop the gasket free and peel it off
4. Wash the gasket and cap in warm soapy water
5. Rinse the gasket and lid well
6. Replace the gasket on the lid

To remove, clean and replace your valve:
1. Wet the valve
2. Push down hard on the valve from the top of the cap until it pops out
3. Wash the valve with warm soapy water
4. Rinse the valve well
5. Get a piece of dental floss to replace the valve
6. Make a loop in the middle of the floss
7. Slip the loop over the stem of the valve and tighten
8. Trim the ends of the floss to be equal in length
9. Thread the ends of the floss through the valve hole
10. Press a finger on the underside of the valve and pull both ends of the floss until the valve snaps in place
11. Pull one end of the dental floss to free it
12. Your sport cap 3.0 is now good as new!
