I have a friend who is better than any painter
He is on the top, the paintbrush is in his hands, and he sprinkles everywhere
Everything is like movie to him, he’s like “Jim jar mosh” (filmmaker)
He has abandoned everyone, he thinks that “Dali” (the painter) is his dad!
When he was bullied by the others, like yogurt (weakly) he
only painted, he was insulted but did not withdrew
They ripped his canvas and burnt his paintings and he
drew again a new one
They poured the color with the funnel in his throat, did he shut up? No!
That very scene became a painting tableau
Like a stabbed body that whatever digs in,
in pain and being prosecuted, he doesn’t give up, he does the takedown drill, rude and though, everyday
The guy is a new line, barefaced, plump and still standing
He’s the bullet, doesn’t pay hush-money to the bullies
It’s a shame for him to argue with these extortioners
He lost everything, he painted the piece on the street floor
He got crazy, took the color and sprinkled it everywhere
He painted on the door, on the trees and on all the walls
On me and you, on these and those, “he painted everywhere”* (“You all are pimps!”*)
On the banners of IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) and VOA (Voice of America)
He painted for who are rotten or sleeping or awake
He painted for the revelers, ruffians, hoodlums and lumpen
On all being and nonbeing, he painted everywhere (You all are pimps!)
He asked me to tell you that he painted everywhere (You all are pimps!)
You all are pimps! He painted everywhere!
Yes! You all are pimps! Yeah! You all are pimps!
He painted everywhere! Yes! You all are pimps!
* These sentences in Persian sound in the same way.
