What is Diabetes Ketoacidosis

Our animated video covers one of the most important complications of diabetes: diabetic ketoacidosis. Diabetic ketoacidosis results from an effective absence of insulin's action in the body. It is a dangerous and often life-threatening condition that requires medical attention. To understand how this happens in diabetics it is important to recognize the the actions of the liver, pancreas and the body's hormone system.
