USB Mouse Not Working on Windows 10 computer and we are going to see 10 different troubleshooting methods to resolve this issue.

So let's go ahead and start the troubleshooting
Method 1
So Method 1 is to disconnect USB mouse and reconnect it again to the USB port.
Also, Check with different USB ports if it is working or not?
Check with other Computer or Laptop.

Method 2
So the method 2 is to restart or shutdown the computer.
And to shut down the computer
Open run box with windows key + r on your keyboard and type cmd hit enter.

Type shutdown -s -t 00 to shutdown the computer.

Remove the mouse connected to the computer and reconnect it again.

Now power on the computer and check if the issue resolves or not.

Method 3

Method 3 is to check if USB mouse is enabled or not?

Open the run box by pressing Windows Key + R on keyboard and type devmgmt.msc
Hit enter, it would open device manager.
Press tab key on the keyboard and select computer name.

Use arrow keys to move up and down.

Press down arrow key and select mice and other pointing devices.

Now, Press right arrow key to expand it.

Select and  HD-complaint Mouse and press shift key and f10 key on the keyboard to get the menu.

Check if the device is enabled or not, if the device is disabled. Select Enable device with down arrow key and hit enter  Enable device.

Method 4
Method 4 is to reinstall mouse drivers. And to do this you have to open the device manager. To open the device manager follow the method 3 steps.

Select computer name with tab key and press down arrow key to select mice and other pointing devices.
Expand it with right arrow key and select HID-complaint mouse.
Use shift + F10 key on the keyboard and select uninstall device with down arrow key.
Hit enter and uninstall device.
Now, disconnect the Mouse from computer and reconnect it again.
Windows will install the required drivers automatically.
And Sometimes you need to download the drivers from manufacturer website and install it again on the computer.

Method 5

Method 5 is to change the power management settings.

Follow the previous troubleshooting methods to open device manger and move to Mice and other pointing devices.

Select HID-complaint device and open properties.

Now use the tab key on the keyboard to navigate to General and then use right arrow key to move to power management.
Select tab key and uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Use tab key to select Ok and hit enter to save changes made to properties.

Method 6

Method 6 is to run the hardware troubleshooter and to run the troubleshooter you have to open Run box and type
msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic

Command to invoke the troubleshooter.

Method 7
Method 7 is to check for Malwares. Install the malwarebytes and scan your computer for any malwares. This is one of the best Antivirus to scan malwares on your computer.

Method 8
If none of the troubleshooting methods work, check if mouse is in warranty and log a call in support to get replacement if it's not damaged.
