Golestan Palace has a history of more than four centuries and a significant collection of Iranian historical heritage remains in it. Golestan Palace is a valuable testimony of the most important moments in the history of Iran. The date of construction of Golestan Palace goes back to the era of Shah Abbas Safavid. Then, during the Zandiya period, this palace was completed and reached its peak of glory during the reign of Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar. During the period of various Qajar kings, Golestan Palace was the residence and ceremonial place of the kings, and during the Pahlavi rule, it was the place of coronation and ceremonies of Reza Shah and Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
Golestan Palace is very important because of its special Iranian architecture, unique tiling, very beautiful paintings and plastering, special mirror work, as well as the historical objects and stories it contains, and is an inseparable part of the history of Iran.
