How to export a Book from Word to PDF for KDP

Who knew there were tricks to exporting a PDF correctly if working with smaller document formats?
Even though, I had set my document size in Word at 5.25"x8" (one of the many paperback formats), it kept becoming a letter-sized document once I exported the file as a PDF. And, I didn't even know it did that until the KDP team told me my file was 8.5x11, and therefore printing unsatisfactorily (in my opinion, anyway). Most people didn't notice the difference in margins. Anyway, I have now found a work-around and needed to record for my next project. Making it public, because so many other KDP videos by other people have helped me in this overwhelming formatting process. I should have just gone on fiverr.com and paid someone to do it.
