We’ve all heard the figures, only 1.9% of VC funding went to female founders in 2022 (Tech Crunch) and this just isn’t good enough. At the Dojo, we’re building the businesses of the future utilising blockchain technology – the next technology revolution. It’s so important this technological shift reflects and benefits society, and that’s why we want to do more to encourage diverse founders. To celebrate International Women’s Day, we are starting our Diversity in the Dojo series, highlighting diverse founders. “If you can’t see it, you can’t be it” is the commonly cited mantra.

So what better way to start our new Diversity in the Dojo series than with Lena Rantsevich, part of cohort 4 and currently going through our 12 week programme.

Lena is the Founder of Reputy, a solution that helps people understand their soft skills, improve them and verify them with evidence on blockchain. Lena described herself at the start of the interview as “just a regular person”, we discovered she is anything but. Lena is an exceptional, incredibly talented, knowledgeable and driven individual. A lifelong learner, she speaks four languages (and understands another two), headed up country operations for a global tech company, worked with more than 50 companies in a consultancy and is now a founder of her own business.

Here she shares her journey to becoming an entrepreneur with our Dealflow Director Kelly Roberts.
