CDT Thru Hike Ep 18: Encampment to Rawlins - "Where Mountains Meet Desert"

Where Mountains Meet Desert - In this episode of my Continental Divide Trail Thru Hike Documentary, I hike from  Encampment to Rawlins. It's a 65 mile hike over one 2 mile day and 2 full days. The CDT continues north along the Sierra Madre range through the Medicine Bow National Forest. After leaving Bridger Peak, the highpoint for the next 200+ miles, it's downhill and back down into the desert. The first 23 miles are mountains that give way to hills and eventually end at Sage Creek Rd. This could be considered the official start of the Great Divide Basin Desert, which will persist for the next 170 miles.
