Every year's driver market, also known as silly season, is one of the most anticipated parts of an F1 season but 2023’s edition of the contract rush was a huge disappointment. That is not going to happen this year though as a huge number of drivers are out of contract and everyone of them will be looking to make a move up the grid. A large number of them need to be looking over their backs as well at the burgeoning group of junior drivers that are desperate for a seat. Today I’ll look at who could go where, why McLaren are at threat, and why Mercedes might have screwed themselves, so let’s get started.
