After Home Minister Amit Shah introduced three new Bills in the parliament to overhaul the country's criminal laws, many have taken to X (Formerly Twitter) to express sympathy with lawyers and law students. The proposal is to replace colonial-era Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, and the Indian Evidence Act with Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill, Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita Bill, and Bharatiya Sakshya Bills, 2023, respectively.
