This is a new travel vblog experience (a first person view) by sharing the real street ambiance and show you the actual situation in Thailand.
Koh Samui is the second largest island in Thailand - 700km from Bangkok.
In the last video, we bicycled form Bophut Fisherman village to Chaweng road. But today we walk in the streets of Samui Island and discover this tiny and beautiful village near Bophut beach.
Fisherman's village Samui is a historical part of Bo phut. You'll find rustic-style boutique stores and trendy restaurants. Along the Bophut beach, you'll have the coco tam's restaurant well known by tourist and also thai people.
Every friday, the whole area of the village become the fisherman's village walking street market.
It takes its name from the fact that it was once home to a thriving fishing community. For many years this island has been used for fishing, agriculture and coconuts farming. These were the main income and the base of the local economy.
But now, Samui has switched its income to much more profitable tourism business.
Unfortunately with the current situation we can see this island suffer from the lack of tourist.
It is very hard for every business here. We showed you the situation on Chaweng road in the last video and now Bophut fisherman's village....
Though, we fell in love with this charming village we feel that this place has more joy to offer if tourist are here both thai and foreigners.
