Anchors Aweigh is another entertaining musical from MGM. Starring Frank Sinatra, Kathryn Grayson and Gene Kelly this movie is everything a musical comedy should be. Great dance and song numbers. Kelly and Sinatra excelling. The dance sequences are brimming with innovative ideas - mixing human action with animation, artistic use of slow motion, 'playing' the items on the craft stall and bouncing on the beds in the servicemen's hostel.
This dance sequence "Mexican Hat Dance" with a young Mexican girl is delightful. One amazing dance sequences among many others.
