Dr. Durgaprasad Reddy B | Appointment booking number: 9886098201 Consultant Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon | Vydehi Hospital, 82, EPIP Area, Bangalore Pulse is an estimation if the contraction of the heart beat. Normally we have pulse rate of 60 to 100 beats per minute. In a healthy individual or a candidate we should have a pulse rate of less than 60 to 70 is ideal whenever pulse oximeter is showing beast per minute shod be somewhere around 70 to 100. Low pulse rate means coronary supply shod be very good. so always we should prefer to have low pulse rate, not say 40’s or 30’s. it should be somewhere around 70 to 100, so that the coronary perfusion is very good and you live a very healthy life. That is the condition. Saturation levels, normal saturation shod be more than 95% in a pulse oximeter. If it is less than 95%, then you are having hypoxemia. There is nto much oxygenation in the blood. Once there is no oxygenation in the blood, the tissue perfusion is less. So we should have a tissue perfusion rate of above 95%. If saturation is less than 95% that means the tissue perfusion with oxygen is not adequate and we will have injuries to the tissues. #expertskisuno #pulseoximeter #Normalheartbeat #normaloxygensaturation
