Using a common mobile device
Using a common mobile device and a simple standard device support, a driver can use different driver assistance systems with any hard configurations.
In this case, the device (an iPhone 5 with iOS 8) is running two driving assistance applications "Collision Avoidance System" and "Lane Departure Warning"
The collisin Avoidance System (CAS) detects and measures the distance to preceding vehicles, allowing to estimate and avoid potential collisions. The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system identifies the position of the car inside its lane and measures the position and trajectory to detect involuntary lane changes.
