Thailand is and has been for a long long time one of if not the most popular retirement destinations with Ex-Pats from all over the world. It's not just retirees. Men seeking love, younger men seeking an experience of a lifetime teaching English in the thousands of Thai schools who recruit English teachers from all over the world every year.  All this being said the Thai immigration procedure can be pretty complexed.
