Digital collections management – where to begin? We all have digital files and while tools are getting better, our number of files (and our storage size) is only getting larger! Do we need a system to manage our files? And where does preservation come in? This webinar will walk through the differences of a preservation system, a Digital Asset Management System (DAMS), and a Collections Management System (CMS); and what to consider when choosing one or more systems. In addition to a systems overview, the webinar will also introduce digital collections management fundamentals such as file naming conventions and file hierarchy.
