I recently got a Blade 15 and while I was making my changes to ThrottleStop I thought I’d make a video about it, hopefully this helps if you’re having issues and worried about your temps. If your CPU temperatures rocketing to 100’C when playing games on your new laptop? Check this easy way of fixing this issue and let me know how it worked for you in the comments below.

In my case my CPU was reaching temperatures up to 100'C which is obviously not what we want really. Despite the Razer Blade downclocking itself to an average of 3.3Ghz while gaming anyway if we lock it to 3GHz and undervolt a little bit we can enjoy significantly lower CPU temperatures with no spikes to the high 90's!

Regarding Intel 10th Generation CPU's.

Please note though that this doesn't seem to be compatible with Intel's 10th generation CPU line up. They seem to have locked this functionality due to yet another vulnerability called Plundervolt so if options can't be tweaked or are locked then I'm afraid these tricks won't help for you.

Instead I'd have to recommend steps below to either;
1) Limit the maximum CPU performance percentage within Windows Power Plans, set the maximum CPU percentage to 99% and you'll notice the processor no longer boosts past the base frequency.

2) Re-pasting the thermal compound on the CPU and GPU with a higher quality one as manufacturers tend to naturally use a low cost paste which doesn't work as good as what we would use ourselves on desktops for example. Thermal Grizzly Kryonaught is one I have used in the past on a an Alienware M15 R1 which is also is non-conductive.

Without opening the laptop up however there may be a setting in your BIOS to disable turbo boost entirely which will definitely help your temperatures and still give you great gaming performance but you won't have higher than the stock clock speed on your CPU. In addition to that, you'd be surprised how much elevating your laptop with something at the back-end can help temperatures too. Find a book or something and prop the laptop up making sure you don't block any fans with it and see if your temperatures improve.

3) Simply lifting the back of the laptop with some kind of stand or however it is feasible to allow the laptop to get more airflow and be less restrictive than the original laptop feet. This can drop temps by between 5'C and 10'C in my experience.
