Mohammed is a former Salafi preacher in Morocco, who was imprisoned for 7 years as a terrorist; Adam is a young Egyptian trying to rebuild his life in Turkey after being part of a radicalized violent group; members of the Alevi community in Istanbul find in their faith strength, showing resilience against violent repression and discrimination. A documentary that follows stories of radicalisation, faith, resilience and self-consciousness; journeys of people searching for their identity and wondering about the role of religion in their lives.

This documentary was created by Donato Di Bartolomeo and Alessandro Magro at the Robert Schuman Centre in the framework of the PREVEX project. PREVEX stands for 'Preventing violent extremism in the Balkans and the MENA: strengthening resilience in enabling environments'. The project aims to put forward more fine-tuned and effective approaches to preventing violent extremism.
