At approximately 5:33 am, Point
At approximately 5:33 am, Point Pleasant Beach Fire Department was dispatched for possible structure fire with entrapment.
Point Pleasant Beach, Ocean County, New Jersey
50 Broadway Mariner's Cove Motel
25 Units
40 people were believed to have been in building.
10 are unaccounted for.
1 woman saved herself by staying in shower with water running. Point Pleasant Beach Volunteer firefighters rescued her.
Fire was overhead in bathroom.
Firefighter Mike Ryan made entry through 2nd floor bathroom window. Hose used to knock down flames before entry was made. Woman was noticed from the window.

"POINT PLEASANT BEACH — Three residents of the Mariner's Cove Motor Inn were killed in an early Friday morning fire that destroyed the a two-story motel and left eight other people injured, police said."
