12 volt rooftop air conditioner installation for Ford Transit van

With the intense California sun, air conditioning can be a huge addition to your commercial van to keep you and your products from overheating. We recently installed a 12v rooftop air conditioner on a Ford Transit van, which runs on two 6 volt batteries. The installation was done so the batteries runs in series with each other, making the equivalent of a 224 amp hour battery bank for the air conditioner to run off of, without killing the starter battery. The Thermozite insulation is installed throughout the cargo interior, and after using a laser infrared thermometer to check the inside to outside temperature, there is a difference of 56-65 degrees, before even starting the air conditioner!
