Now that the weather is
Now that the weather is warming, we’re in the garden again taking care of things around the garden. We’re starting with planting Park Seed Whopper Strawberries in a new raised bed area. We’re putting the top of the old water feature to good use as another raised planting bed. Supposedly, these strawberries are big and fit in the palm of your hand. We will see it that’s the result we receive. We are also preparing for the delivery of 4 pallets, 150 bags, each two cubic yards of brown mulch in a couple of days. Since creeping Canada Thistles invaded our garden areas 5 years ago, we’ve tried burning this invasive specie by covering areas with cardboard, black plastic & rubber. It looks pretty bad, but after this weekend, we expect to be pleased mulching over these areas. We also replaced a little walkway with stepping stones leading to our pergola. Now it’s time to bring out many of our tomato seedlings and other veggies we started from seed, hardening before planting in a couple of weeks.
