The technical offer shall contain the following details

(i) Size of HBF offered – length & width
(ii) Effective area of each HBF in m2.
(iii) Number of stages of washing considered – for acid filter only.
(iv) Volume of wash liquor considered stage wise in m3/ ton of solid or m3/hr. at rated capacity.
(v) Full property of filter media considered – Type of media, material, weave, air permeability in m3/m2/min, average pore size of media, strength of media (warp, weft), name of manufacturer.
(vi) Size of filter media required per replacement in one belt filter.
(vii) Type of end joining of filter media
(viii) Life of filter media in hours of run.
(ix) Material of construction of rubber belt including hardness.
(x) Life of rubber belt in years
(xi) Detail drawing of the surface of belt showing dimensions of groove, thickness of belt, number and dimension of filtrate outlet in each groove etc.
(xii) Speed of the belt filter considered in m/sec for normal operation as well as maximum and minimum speed.
(xiii) Name of the manufacturer of rubber belt.
(xiv) Temperature of vapour entering vacuum pump.
(xv) Vacuum requirement – air drawing capacity in m3/hr. at specified vacuum in mm of Hg.
(xvi) Total clean water requirement in m3/hr. and pressure with bifurcation of place of use like vacuum box sealing, cloth washing, return belt washing, vacuum pump requirement etc.
(xvii) Number and position of spray bars used for washing with detail of spray nozzles
(xviii) Filtrate receivers: Number and sizes
The receiver shall be made of 3 mm thick SS – 316L plate. It shall be provided with level switches to indicate rise of level of liquor inside the receiver. The alarm of rise of level of liquor in receiver shall go the control room. Each receiver shall also provided with electronic type vacuum measurement device (vacuum transmitter) with isolation valve in the air zone with digital display of vacuum locally on the operating platform of HBF as well as in the central control room.
(xix) Moisture trap: shall be made of 3mm thick SS – 316 L plate. The drain connection of moisture trap (barometric leg) going to barometric well shall be made of 4” dia. SS – 316 pipe. Barometric well shall also be fabricated from 3 mm thick SS – 316 sheet. Level measurement facility shall be installed in the barometric well to initiate alarm in the control room in case of high or low level in the tank.
(xx) Filtrate manifolds: Shall be separate for each zone. Shall be made of SS – 316 L. The extension from filtrate manifold to vacuum box shall initially be done with fixed SS – 316 L pipes having flanged connection. The final connection with vacuum box shall be done with flanged flexible hose connection of linatax rubber.
(xxi) Speed controller : The HBF shall have facility to regulate the speed of the belt filter through variable frequency controller A.C. drive (VFD). The rating of VFD shall be higher than the HBF drive motor rating. The controller shall be located in the control room with facility of variation in speed both from local and remote.
(xxii) Piping: The piping from the filtrate receivers to suction manifold of filtrate pump shall be of SS –316 with end-flanged connection. Each stage of filtrate transfer shall have standby installed pump. The pumps shall be provided with suction and discharge valve and discharge non-return valve of SS –316 or any other suitable metal. The pump-wetted part shall be alloy – 20 or any other suitable metal. The discharge piping of each of the pump shall be separate.
