How to Derestrict a Yamasaki YM50-RE and Should You Do It?

All Yamasaki bikes come restricted
All Yamasaki bikes come restricted from factory, in this video I show you how I got mine derestricted to unleash its full power, and discuss if you should do the same. Enjoy!
Please Note
1. It is recommended going through the 'break in period' of the bike (between 200-300 miles) before getting it derestricted as this reduces problems down the line with the engine.
2. If you derestrict the bike, by law you must tell your insurance, be of the correct age (17+) and carry the correct license (A1 and above).
3. In the case of young riders (16 years old on a CBT riding a 50cc), by law the bike you ride is not allowed to exceed 28mph, derestricting the bike goes against this and thus technically speaking derestricting the bike is illegal unless you have/do what is stated above.
4. If you derestrict the bike anyway, despite the low chance of being pulled over for this specific reason (under the circumstance you are riding normally), you could potentially face charges of "riding without proper insurance" and "riding without a license" which comes with fines, points and potential sentences.
5. Most people do it anyway, do not get pulled over and get away with it just fine, however, the decision is yours and the risk lies entirely in your hands, I (TR23) am not responsible for any laws you may break in the process.
