To give a warning is a sign of love. Apostle Paul says “I am not saying these things to you, I am not writing these things to shame you or to embarrass you but I am warning you as my beloved children.” So, warning is a sign of love not intimidation or to scare you.
Sin is the disease of the soul, pray for deliverance from temptation not for strength to resist temptation.
