How to Tie an Underwriter's Knot

When rewiring a lamp tie a knot in the cord just below the lamp socket.  The knot is also called UL knot, lamp knot or an electrician's knot.  The knot in the lamp cord prevents the wires on the socket from pulling off it the cord is pulled.
