A diamagnetic material repels magnetic fields, but compared to the strong attraction of ferromagnetism, diamagnetic repulsion is very weak. Pyrolytic graphite is currently the most diamagnetic material known to man. Pyrolytic graphite or pyrolytic carbon, consists of multiple carbon atom  layers that are organized into a hexagonal crystalline lattice or honey comb structure, in fact pyrolytic graphite consists of multiple layers of graphene. it's marvellous that by utilizing the diamagnetic repulsion of pyrolytic graphite, passive, non-power-supply levitation can be achieved in room temperature. Diamagnetic levitation can be achieved also with bismuth, but pyrolytic graphite's  is clearly more diamagnetic than bismuth. In addition bismuth is very heavy, so even a thin piece of bismuth on it's own can't levitate over a magnetic array. Pyrolytic graphite has amazing properties in thermal and electrical conductivity and also exhibit robust mechanical properties in particular its resistance to bending stresses.
