Located just 3 miles north of Orlando, Winter park is a city known for it’s world class festivals, events and one of my family’s long time favorite spots to hang out because of it’s Old World charm, elegant homes, tree canopies, shopping and dining experiences.
Here’s a few of our favorite things to do in Winter Park.
If you love art, enjoy one of several art galleries on Park Ave. Featured here is Ocean Blue Galleries.
Next, dine in one of the many restaurants. Panullo’s Italian restaurant is a local favorite with Tuscan décor and sidewalk seating.
When you’re on Park Avenue, stroll around the romantic rose garden.
I recommend going early in the morning or during the golden hour when the sun is setting for perfect photo ops.
In the center of the garden, is a beautiful waterfall fountain with a statue of a peacock perched on top.
And of course when you’re in a garden, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses. Here are some of the rose varieties you may see here.
Next, it’s fun to check out the trains that pass through. AmTrak trains make several stops a day here.
In 2014, the Winter Park Train Station was updated to the Sun Rail Winter Park Station replacing the older station going back to 1882.
There’s nothing like strolling along the park and taking in the scene enjoying the company of those you love.
There are many more sights and activities to do at Winter Park that we didn’t have time to cover here but would love to show you one day.
